New British Royal Princess Named as Charlotte Elizabeth Diana

The newest member of the British Royal Family, the daughter of Prince William and his wife Princess Kate Middleton will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge as announced by the Kensington Palace. The announcement was made to the public through Twitter on Monday.

Pincess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, born at St. Mary’s Hospital in West London on Saturday, she is fourth in line to the British throne, after her grandfather Prince Charles, her father Prince William and elder brother Prince George.

The name given to the new princess, is a choice of names that honors the baby’s late grandmother Princess Diana and her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth.

Earlier reports noted that the name Charlotte, Diana and Elizabeth were all among the names most favored by bookmakers for the princess. She bring honors to the Royal throne as the fifth great-grandchild of Britain’s 89-year-old Queen Elizabeth.
