Former matinee idol Onemig Bondoc has filed a case against his estranged wife, French-Filipina model and actress Valerie Bariou for the sole custody of their children, 1-year-old Armelle and 1-year-old Anton.
In an interview with “Startalk” over the weekend, the former casts of youth-oriented show TGIS (Thank God It’s Sabado) said that he filed the case at the Quezon City Hall of Justice against his estranged wife.
Onemig Bondoc said that he is doing it for his kids because he thinks that Valerie Bariou is no longer capable of taking care of them. “I’m doing this for my kids because sobrang mahal ko ang mga anak ko, na feeling ko hindi siya capable of taking care of her kids,” he said.
The two met in 2007 and tied the knot in 2009 in a civil wedding. The actor confirmed their separation in September last year and Valerie Bariou recently filed an annulment to end their marriage.
Currently, their children are living with Onemig Bondoc. The 37-year-old sought the help of Atty. Cornelio Samaniego III as his legal counsel. It was also revealed that the case includes a temporary protection order.
Onemig Bondoc also stressed that his daughter Armelle is supporting his decision to file a case against Valerie Bariou, who made headlines when she worked as the double of English actress Rachel Weisz in the Hollywood film “The Bourne Legacy” which some of the scenes were shot in Manila.
