The former teen star and award-winning kapamilya actor, Carlo Aquino said that he is open to work again with her former girlfriend and onscreen partner Angelica Panganiban.
In an interview with the showbiz website Push, the former cast of the kiddie gag show “Ang TV” said that he is willing to work with the actress if ever the network will offer him a project with her.
“Oo naman sobrang magkaibigan kami ni Angel (Angelica) nakapag MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya) na kami so sana hopefully next year kung mabibigyan ng chance gagawin ko talaga,” he said.
In May, Carlo Aquino and the “Bananite” star reunited in the longest-running drama anthology in Asia “Maalaa Mo Kaya,” after long years of not working together.
Asked what genre would he like to work with Angelica Panganiban, the 29-year-old actor said, “Dramedy (drama-comedy) para iba naman kasi usually pag nag-MMK kami drama-drama mas maganda kung medyo light.”
Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban was launched as a love team in the youth-oriented show “G-Mik” in 1999. The also appeared in several series and movies including in the box-office film “Ang Tanging Ina,” headlined by Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas.
The kapamilya stars had been in a relationship for five years and they broke up in 2005. Angelica Panganiban is now in a relationship with John Lloyd Cruz, while Carlo Aquino is now with model Kristine Nieto.
Meanwhile, Angelica Panganiban is currently promoting her movie “Beauty In A Bottle,” which also stars Angeline Quinto and Alessandra de Rossi. The comedy film is now showing in theaters nationwide.
