The Professional Regulation Commission released the official results of the August 2014 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) Results on Monday October 27, 2014. A total of 26,767 Secondary Teachers passed the LET Exam out of 77,803 examinees or 34.40% passing rate. The PRC also noted that for the Secondary Level of the LET Exam, 23,820 passers are first timers and 2,947 are repeaters.
The PRC announced that Nixon Somblingo Balandra, a graduate of the Philippine Normal University (PNU) in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental ranked No. 1 in the Secondary Level with 90.20% ratings.
New Era University (NEU) student Jose Dante Valenzuela Dela Merced placed second overall with a 90.00 ratings followed by Jemer Andoyo Alimbon from University of Mindanao-Tagum and Karla Lurenz Gonzaga Diamante from Collegio San Agustin in Bacolod City with 89.80% ratings at No. 3.

The PRC also noted that in the Elementary Level of the LET Exam a total of 25,301 elementary teachers out of 70,786 examinees (35.74%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last August 17, 2014 in Hong Kong and 24 testing centers all over the Philippines.
