For the very first time, Ai-ai formally introduced her 20-year old boyfriend Gerald Sibayan to her friends both showbiz and non-showbiz. This happened on the 48th birthday celebration of the box office director Wenn V. Deramas last Saturday, September 13, 2014.
Also, in her annual mass celebration to the birthday of Virgin Mary, she also acknowledged Gerald. This happened last September 8, 2014 at the clubhouse in the subdivision she is currently residing in Ayala Heights. Through this, Gerald was been introduced to her non-showbiz friends. Gerald on his part confirmed his relationship with Ai-ai yesterday, September 15, 2014 after he was asked because of the photos he posted on his Facebook Account.
They were actually interviewed on the birthday celebration of director Wenn. In which, they did not separate ways from the start ’til the end. Based on Ai-ai, Gerald’s family was a former army. In which his mother and father are actually retired armies.
After he was asked on his plans to follow the footsteps of his parents, Ai ai said that what Gerald wanted is to be a pilot.
Ai-ai also said that she told Gerald to retire being a badminton player in their school in order for him to enroll at PAL. “Pina-retire ko na para… kailangan kasi, bago ka mag-four years sa PAL, graduate ka ng four-year course. “So, kailangan niyang bilisan ang pag-aaral niya,” she stated.
They are then asked if they already have plans to get married. “Ay, hindi! Waley, waley. Ayaw, ayaw! “Okey na yung ganyan… tahimik lang kami,” Ai ai answered.
Based on her, she just prefers to have a young boyfriend rather than an old one who already have kids.
She also said that she did not search for Gerald. He just came on the unexpected time of her life in which she is really very thankful.
