Actor Gerald Anderson shares a bad experience that almost got his life. According to him, he almost died while taping the ABS-CBN fantasy series which is “Dyesebel.”
The said bad experience happened when Gerald was taping “Dyesebel” and he nearly drowned when he lost consciousness while he is still underwater. According to him, he love to challenge himself. He loved to swim that’s why he really tried to do it. He even told the team not to go home if he did not accomplish it.
“Taping kami sa Subic tapos lilipat kami ng location. Ang unang location, pool, an Olympic sized pool. Mahilig ako i-push ‘yung sarili ko, i-challenge ‘yung kung ano yung kaya kong gawin. Mahilig ako mag-swimming, ‘yung nakasisid lang sa ilalim ng tubig. ‘Yung one breath lang tapos aabot na sa dulo. Hindi ko maabot-abot tapos sabi ko sa kanila, ‘Hindi tayo aalis dito hangga’t hindi ko maabot,” he said.
He really tried to do and accomplish it. On his last try, he started to felt bad. But still, he did not stop. However, when he is already near the finish line, he actually loss control and then started to totally black out.
“Paangat na ako, biglang nag-blackout ako. Nasa ilaim ako ng tubig, nahimatay ako. Less than a minute naman pero ‘yung mga kasama ko, hindi nila alam ‘yung nangyayari. Hindi ko rin alam kasi nung nasa ilalim ako ng tubig, biglang nag-last breath ako. Ang dami kong tubig na nainom,” he said.
Indeed, Gerald is really that fortunate because he was just in a shallow part of the swimming pool.
Based on it, Gerald said that he took it as an important lesson and actually learned on it. It is really a memorable experience for him.
