The romantic film of the popular love team of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla “She’s dating the Gangster” is now an official box office hit after it earned P130 million after six days of showing in theaters nationwide.
In an interview with ABS-CBN news’ MJ Felipe, the country’s Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo said that she and the Teen King Daniel Padilla is very happy with the success of their new film.
“Super saya ko, totoo to tapos sinabi ko kay DJ (Daniel Padilla) tapos kay mama at ayun kinungratulate ko and buong team namin kasi lahat kami talaga binabantayan kung kamusta ‘yun araw-araw eh,” she said.
“She’s dating the Gangster” follows the story of Athena Dizon (Kathryn Bernardo) who pretended to be in a relationship with Kenji delos Reyes (Daniel Padilla), who wants to get back with his ex-girlfriend. However, their pretend relationship will eventually turn into real.
The movie features also the timeless love team of Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta. The kapamilya rising teen celebrates will also join the casts including Igi Boy Flores, Marco Gumabao, Khalil Ramos, Yana Asistio, John Uy Sofia Andres, Alexander Diaz and including the former PBB housemate Pamu Pamorada.
“She’s dating the Gangster” which premiered on July 16, 2014 is now the 4th highest-grossing Filipino-produced film in 2014. Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga’s film “Starting Over Again” got the number one spot and next to them is Xian Lim and Kim Chiu’s “Bride For Rent” and third is Sarah Geronimo and Coco Martin’s “Maybe this Time”.
