Nora Aunor To Be Declared as Philippine National Artist (Report)

One of the Philippines critically acclaimed actress, singer and movie producer, Nora Aunor, will be declared as one of the country’s National Artists according to a very reliable source as reported by Philippine Daily Inquirer.

According to the Inquirer report, it’s all systems go for the declaration of the newest batch of National Artists. This year’s awardees according to leaked report includes architect Jose Ma. Zaragoza, poet Cirilo F. Bautista, choreographer Alice Reyes, composer Francisco Feliciano, komiks novelist Francisco V. Coching and the superstar Nora Aunor.

The list of National Artists in the Philippines which will be announced officially in the next few days had undergone stringent nomination process and received the coveted endorsement from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

The Iriga, Camarines Sur native, Nora Aunor, is best known in the Philippine entertainment industry as Ate Guy, she won a total of Five (5) Best Actress Awards, now a Hall of Fame member, aside from being recognized with a total of 17 FAMAS Awards nominations.

Nora Aunor also won a total of seven awards in Gawad Urian, also considered as the most nominated actress of the award-giving body with a total of 18 nominations.

The “Superstar” more popularly known as Ate Guy, also won a total of eight trophies from PMPC Star Awards, a total of eight MMFF awards, Four Luna Awards, and Five Young Critics Circle Awards to name a few of her achievements.
