James Yap PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals MVP Dedicates Award to GF & Bimby

Former PBA MVP James Yap captured the finals Most Valuable Player Award in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup after leading the San Mig Coffee Mixers on its title-run in the second conference of the PBA. The Finals MVP Award of James according to him is dedicated to his girlfriend and son, Bimby.

The 32-year-old James Yap dedicated his MVP-plum to his son with Kris Aquino, Bimby, and to his current girlfriend, the Italian, Michela Cazzola, who is always supportive to James Yap and watched almost all of his games in the PBA.

James Yap was instrumental on San Mig Coffee Mixers winning their third PBA title and one title away of winning the elusive Grand Slam title in Asia’s first professional basketball tournament.

The Finals MVP title of James Yap is his third, he also won the award in the 2010 Philippine Cup and the 2012 PBA Commissioner’s Cup. During the finals against the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters, James Yap averaged 17 points and played the hero’s role in Game Three of the finals.

During the recently concluded Game Four of the PBA finals, James Yap scored 10 of his points in his team’s final rally to subdue the Tropang Texters and eventually captured the championship trophy.

James Yap is already considered as one of the most popular PBA player nowadays and considered as one of the icons in the league. He already won the 2005-2006 and 2009-2010 Season’s Most Valuable Player Award.

He is also a nine-time member of the PBA All Star Game as a starter and played for the Philippine National Basketball Team as a PBA player and during his amateur and college days.
