It seems like commercialized establishments and businesses in the worst hit Tacloban City, Leyte are starting to restore.
The progressive development leaked after Robinsons Place, Tacloban announced re-opening schedule on December 19, 2013 and among the mall’s store set to re-open are the following; Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Department Store, Handyman Do It Best, Robinsons Appliances, Toys R Us Toybox and Daiso Japan.
After a month of super typhoon Yolanda devastation in which establishments were forced to closed, the Robinsons Place, Tacloban will set a start for other stalls to open their business unto the public again.
Mariano Joaquin Jr., vice president of Robinsons Retail said in a statement that they agreed open the the mall in order to allow his fellow Taclobanons the chance to shop this Christmas season and considering the branch opening as a restoration on the city’s trade and commerce.
Since the power supply is not yet fully restored in the city, the mall hours will be limited from 8 am to 3 pm and due to insufficient electricity frozen and refrigerated items will not be sold on the establishment.
Among the items which will be sold are the following; canned goods, snacks, beverages, milk, and other food products including noche buena items such as fresh fruits and quezo de bola and aside from grocery items clothing , shoes, hardware items, home appliances, toys, and gifts will be out for public selling.
The mall’s decision to re-open the site brings good news for the people in Tacloban as Robinsons dubbed as one of the leading stores nationwide (–foul word(s) removed–)ured Robinsons Tacloban operation will be completed by April 2014.
