Mandaluyong City is one of the city that comprised the Metro Manila area or the National Capital Region. It is dubbed as “Tiger City of the Philippines” and the “Shopping Mall Capital of the Philippines.”
The City of Mandaluyong is home of the Ortigas Center, one of the major centers of business and commerce in the Philippines. Ortigas Center is the headquarters of San Miguel Corporation, Southeast Asia’s largest food and beverage company. Aside from San Miguel Corp., Unilab, Banco de Oro and Asian Development Bank has its headquarters located in Mandaluyong City.
Mandaluyong City has a total population of 328,699 inhabitants with a population density of 15,461 per square kilometers or (40,041/sq mi). The current city administration is headed by Mayor Benjamin Abalos Jr. and Vice Mayor Edward Bartolome.
