Arianna Tiangco’s Tweets on Typhoon Maring Cause an Online Outrage

Twitter user Arriana Tiangco successfully got the attention of netizens after she posted some nasty comments on Twitter and other social media sites. She posted comments about the Filipino people the reasons why we experienced calamities.

Tiangco got the attentions of netizen’s ire since she posted negative comments since Monday, August 19. She even reached the top most trending topic on Twitter in just a few hours.

Here’s some of the tweets posted by Arriana Tiangco:

“MORE TYPHOON ON PHILIPPINES”, “PHILIPPINES – THE MOST BEGGAR AND SQUATTER COUNTRY. SO BETTER WASH THEM AWAY #PrayForThePhilippines” and “ITS YOUR TIME TO DIE WHO LIVE IN THE PHILIPPINES #PrayForThePhilippines #FloodPH”

As a response to Arriana’s tweet critizing her post, she retorted that she’s not Filipino and that she’s from Italy. She also mocked her critics on Twitter, saying that users from the Philippines should not “follow” her on Twitter.

As of press time the Twitter Account of Arianna Tiangco (https://twitter.com/ariannatngco) was already deleted. Another Twitter user Marnell (https://twitter.com/xmarneyy) clarified the issue that her photos were used by Arianna Tiangco on posting her comments about the Philippines.
