The Voice of the Philippines Blind Audition returns tonight, Saturday, July 13, with the coaches and mentors ready to face the audience of the highly-popular singing competition in the country today to complete their respective Teams.
The July 13 episode is once again hosted by Toni Gonzaga, with the show’s V-Reporters and backstage hosts Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga. Coaches Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Mañalac, Lea Salonga, and Apl.de.Ap serves as the four coaches and the judging panel of the show.
Here’s our live coverage and recap of the July 13 episode of The Voice of the Philippines:
First: Sherin Ashtrid Hidayat = 18, from Antique. Sings “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal,” as popularized by Lea Salonga, unfortunately no one turned around.
Second: Marissa Saroca = 29, Australia. She sings “Crazy In Love” by Beyonce. Coach Lea Salonga pushed the red button. She’s in for Team Lea!
Third: John Philip Duka = 28, Davao. A radio DJ, he sings “Secrets” by One Republic. Coaches Bamboo Manalac and Apl de Ap turned the red chairs! He picked Team Bamboo!
Fourth: Mel John “MJ” Padalig = band vocalist from Sorsogon. He sings an Original Pilipino Music (OPM) song “Handog”. Coach Lea turned and he’s automatically for Team Lea!
Fifth: Genesis Butil = 25, government employee from Bukidnon. She sings another OPM hit “Grabe”. No one turned.
Sixth: Janice Javier = 38 years old from Pasay. She’s a band singer in Bangkok, Thailand. Tonight she sings Aretha Francklin’s hit “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”. All the coaches turned and she chose Team Apl.
