Hidoyuki Ito: The Voice Blind Audition Video

Hidoyuki Ito was one of the most talked-about contestant during the July 7 edition of The Voice of the Philippines after his remarkable performance on the show. He is a son of a Japanese father and a Filipino mother.

The remarkable singer took the stage with James Brown’s “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World,” and got the two female coaches Sarah Geronimo and Lea Salonga to turn their chairs with his soulful performance.

Aside from Hidoyuki Ito’s performance, what grabbed the viewer’s attention is his admittance that he is a gay, once lost his voice and struggled with depression, he also regularly joins beauty contests.

Although Hidoyuki Ito admitted that Lea Salonga is one of his idol, he chooses Sarah Geronimo to be his mentor in the competition. Right now Sarah G. has a total of eight contestant along with Black Eyed Peas member apl.de.ap.

Rocker Bamboo Manalac leads all the coaches with nine contestants on his team, after he selected call center agent Nicole Parada in Sunday’s episode. Salonga, meanwhile, has seven contestants.
