The Season 76 of the UAAP Basketball tournament will open today at around 2:00 PM at the SM Mall of Asia Arean featuring four of the toughest teams in the UAAP, the UE, FEU, DLSU and UST.
The University of the East Warriors will be facing the Far Eastern University Tamaraws to start their campaign going at 2:00 PM while the DLSU Archers will be facing the UST Growling Tigers in the second game of the opening day.
UE Coach Boycie Zamar stated that anything can happen this season, and he was quoted as saying that, “We’ve talked about the jitters, it can hit even the veterans, especially since it’s the opening.” Zamar said.
The DLSU Green Archers will be parading with their newly-hired coach Juno Sauler who will try to make an impressive first game against last year’s runner-up University of Sto. Tomas Growling Tigers.
The opening ceremony of the UAAP Season 76 will start at around 12:30 PM hosted by Adamson University, they will parade some of their famous alumni led by former PBA stars Hector Calma and Kenneth Duremdes.
