An inspiring photo posted by an ordinary graduating student Kevin Villanueva served as an inspiration for thousands of youths around the country. The 21-year-old Villanueva posted a photo of himself wearing his graduation toga besides his parents in a cemetery.
Kevin’s graduation photos received enormous positive comments from netizens which saw his inspiring photos with his parents at the San Pedro Memorial Park. The Information Technology graduate student finished his studies with himself financing his education at the Colegio de San de Letran in Manila.
According to Kevin they have visited the grave of his parents and donned the toga, while Sarah Vinoya took the photo and posted it on Instagram with the captions, “Akala nyu kayo lang ang may picture kasama parents nyu ha :)) (And you thought you were the only ones with pictures with your parents).”
“Pero Ma, Pa this is for the both of you i hope that you are proud of me :))”
The photo went viral immediately, people shared and liked it when it was posted on Facebook. Most people thanked Kevin for giving them inspiration with their studies.
Kevin Villanueva’s mother p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed away when he was 10. She committed suicide by drinking an acid solution. His father on the other hand suffered a heart attack in 2009 leaving him behind at the care of his aunts, Maria Teresa Jalbuena and Jacqueline Calumba.
