The Philippines and one of Asia’s Cardinals, Manila Arcbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle is now considered as one of the top contender to become the next Pope for the billion Roman Catholics worldwide.
Due to the popularity of Cardinal Tagle, a music video pushing for the papacy of the lone Asian “Papabili” have emerged on the internet. The video posted on YouTube is already making the rounds online.
The video was first posted on March 4 on YouTube by user latigorapper have already garnered more than 19,000 votes. The video also includes a “campaign jingle.
The campaign jingle for Cardinal Tagle is set to a song based on the disco hit song popularized by the Village People titled “Y.M.C.A.”
Some international news media reports already mentioned Cardinal Tagle as a potential Pope. He was described as a charismatic orator. At the age of 55-years, he is Asia’s best hope for papacy. The conclave of 115 cardinals is in the process of choosing the new leader of the 1.2 billion Catholics worldwide.
