The Kapuso Network’s Sunday noontime variety show, “Party Pilipinas,” was put under probation by the Movie Television Review and Cl(–foul word(s) removed–)ification Board for a total of six months after the agency was flooded with complaints from televiewers.
The controversial scene made during a dance number involving Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino caught the attention of the MTRCB on “Party Pilipinas” episode aired last Sunday.
The probation issued to GMA-7’s “Party Pilipinas” was confirmed by MTRCB chairman Eugenio Villareal on Friday, February 8, 2013. The board of censors asked GMA-7 to apologize, and ordered the network to issue a full screen video public apology to be aired at “Party Pilipinas” on their next episode this coming Sunday.
The show “Party Pilipinas” while on prabation shall be placed on a per-episode basis, “which means that any violation of the MTRCB rules, laws and regulations would mean placing the program off air without prejudice to other sanctions.”
Party Pilipinas was also ordered to issue a public apology published in a newspaper of general circulation on or before February 9, 2013 according to MTRCB Chairman Villareal.
While on probation, staffs of Party Pilipinas will undergo gender and development training under the supervision of MTRCB.
