The Philippines’ highest prized reality show have already named the ultimate winner of the Artista Academy’s Best Actor and Best Actress in one of the grandest finals night held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The grand finals of the first-ever Artista Academy was shown live on air via Kapatid Network’s TV 5. Vin Abrenica and Sophie Albert were adjudged as the Best Actor and Best Actress respectively.
The show was hosted by veteran actors Cesar Montano and Marvin Agustin, the show fulfilled one of it’s dream in finding new talented actors and actresses in coordination with the Asian Academy of Television Arts (AATA).
The the much coveted-title as the first ever Artista Academy winner were already given with the ₱20 million worth of prizes and an artist management contract were also received by both Vin and Sophie.
The winners, Vin Abrenica and Sophie Albert were determined based on 40% accumulated average for the past 3 weeks, 40% grades for the night’s performance and 20% text votes.
There are six finalists who vied for the Artista Academy Best Actor and Best Actress Awards which includes Japanese-Filipino Akihiro Blanco, Chanel Morales, Mark Neumann, Shaira Mae, Sophie Albert, and Aljur Abrenica’s brother Vin Abrenica.
All of the Artista Academy Finalists have rendered their most amazing performances in the last performance night of the show which was also applauded by thousands of fans who flocked to the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Some of the top executives of TV 5 were present during the show such as TV 5 Chairman Manny Pangilinan, TV 5 President and CEO Atty. Ray C. Espinosa and some distinguished executives of the company.
Even the most popular names in the movie and television industry graced the events, such as veteran actor, Eddie Garcia and Superstar Nora Aunor who presented some of the awards.
