SpaceX Successfully Launched Dragon Capsule towards ISS (Video)

The SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket carrying the cargo capsule Dragon have made a successful launched of the the first-ever commercial flight that carried key science equipment to be delivered to the International Space Station.

The SpaceX capsule will reach the space station on Wednesday as it took off from the complex southwest of Tasmania. The Dragon capsule was carrying half a ton of equipment and supplies.

The Dragon capsule and the Falcon 9 launch vehicle was already tested by the company and has been approved by NASA to deliver a series of cargo shipments to the ISS.

SpaceX is scheduled to carry out 12 resupply fights for NASA in a $1.6 billion deal. The SpaceX Dragon Capsule will spend close to three weeks at the space station before being released and parachuting into the Pacific at the end of October

Space Exploration Technologies Corp., or SpaceX  was owned by PayPal co-founder Elon Musk  who is also working to convert its unmanned Dragon capsules into vessels that could carry astronauts to the space station in three years.
