The world’s tallest Ferris Wheel will be built in New York City according to plan offering sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline. The giant Ferris Wheel will stand at around 625 feet, it will be half the height of the Empire State Building.
The newest icon in New York’s Staten Island will be taller than the Singapore’s 541 foot (165-meter) Flyer. It will be similar to the London Eye, one of the icons in the United Kingdom.
The world’s tallest Ferris wheel in New York will ride in thirty-six capsules, each capable of carrying up to 40 p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers, or a total of 1,440 people per ride, same as the London Eye.
The London Eye on the other hand stand only at 443 feet while another planned Ferris Wheel in Las Vegas named as High Roller is planned to be 550 feet.
According to plans the observation wheel will stay open yearly everyday of the year except during severe weather and will probably attack 30,000 riders a day during the peak season and 4.5 million visitors per year.
The planned world’s tallest Ferris Wheel will be constructed with an estimated cost of $230 Million and is expected to open in 2015.
