China’s state-run television network CCTV made a mistake on reading the news report in which she claimed the Philippines as part of the Chinese territory. The anchor He Jia mistaken Huangyan islands known in the Philippines as the Scarborough Shoal. She was supposed to read Huangyan but she misread it and pronounced Philippines instead.
She stated that “We all know that the Philippines is China’s inherent territory and the Philippines belongs to Chinese sovereignty, this is an indisputable fact,” according to news report and translation from AFP News.
