Two awards were picked up by famous pop star Lady Gaga. Katy Perry earned three awards; one of the awards is the video of the year. But on Sunday, the pregnant Beyonce was the one who stole the show at MTV’s Video Music Awards.

The MTV VMAs is celebrated annually brings up plenty of surprises and shocking acts by the world’s famous singers and bands. Last year it was the astonishing meat dress of Lady Gaga, the year before were the speech mishap of Kanye West and Taylor Swift. Nobody noticed the coming of Beyonce’s pregnancy aside from her husband Jay-Z.

Beyonce first emerged on the red carpet and she was taken pictures using her arms to emphasize the baby bumping on her long gown. The singer performed “Love On Top”, wanting the people to stand up and saying, “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me”. After her performance she took off her jacket, put a smile on her face and then rubbed her belly.

Jay-Z was in the audience giving her wife Beyonce a big wave and he was congratulated by Kanye West.

Dressed in drag as her male alter ego, Joe Calderone, Lady Gaga sung “You and I” to open the VMAs. She received the awards for the best female video and the best message video for her hit song, “Born This Way.”

The night’s top prize, the home video of the year was brought home by Katy Perry, with her successful song and video for “Firework.”

Her song for “E.T.” featuring Kanye West also won the best collaboration and a trophy for special effects.

Perry, who is famous for her awesome and colorful outfits received her awards wearing a cube-shaped hat on her head.
