Grammy Award-winning singer/performer Christina Aguilera has now released a new video to help fight against world hunger as the famine issue in Africa continues to ensue.

The said video shows the vocalist singing a lullaby to a couple of children that has lyrics which emphasizes the need to care to those people and liitle children who didn’t have enough food to eat.

Aguilera works as a global spokeswoman for the YUM! Brands Inc., since 2009.. and this new video that she recorded was funded by the said corporation who also owned thousands of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut restaurants worldwide. The company set up the public-service video was scheduled to air on U.S television starting this September, as part of its 4-year continuing campaign against the world hunger.

The singer mentioned via e-mail that after she had her 3 year old son Max, she knew that she wanted to be involved in causes that would help the poor children. She also said that when she learned how millions of children go to bed hungry, her only response was, ‘What can I do to help?’” She also mentioned that in the video, they tried to incorporate a cl(–foul word(s) removed–)ic lullaby but they gave it a new twist.

Since she joined Yum Brands’ efforts, the 30-year-old Staten Island, New York, native has already helped the company to garner about $50 million. Christina has served as a co-star and coach on NBC’s “The Voice,” and sold about 50 million albums worldwide and its proceeds go to the United Nations World Food Programme.

Jonathan Blum, a YUM Brands senior vice president in Louisville, Kentucky, said through phone that Christina is an incredible humanitarian and she’s using her status to create awareness for hunger relief. Aguilera will also appear in KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell ads to promote the worldwide campaign for hunger-relief.
