The long wait for the fans of the two greatest boxers in this generation is finally over after Floyd Mayweather Jr. has finally spoken to the public and revealed his plan to fight the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao.

In the press conference of his fight against Victor Ortiz in Nokia Center, Mayweather said that all he wanted is to fight against the biggest and the best boxer today and that includes the boxing champ and pride of the Philippines Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.

This statement of Mayweather surprised the crowd present in the center and has drew a lot of cheers and boos from them. He also thanked in his speech Victor Ortiz for accepting this fight.

On the other hand, Pacquiao was taken a statement about the revelation of Mayweather and said that he is open to this possibility and added that he is ready to fight Floyd Mayweather anytime.

According to Pacquiao he already anticipated this action of Mayweather and added that this is one of Floyd’s tactics to prepare for their mega-fight. Pacquiao’s camp still strongly stand that if the fight of the two boxers will be pursued, they will be the one to set the condition.

Floyd Mayweather is set to fight Mexican boxer Victor Ortiz this coming September 17 while Manny Pacquiao will face for the third time Juan Manuel Marquez on Novermber 12, 2011.
