Prayers bring forth miracle as Bro. Eddie Villanueva, the founder of a religious group Jesus is Lord Movement urges every Christian organization throughout the Philippines to pray for mercy for the three Filipinos to face death row on March 30.
Drug trafficking case has been filed by the Chinese government to the three Filipino drug mules namely Sally Villanueva, Elizabeth Batain and Ramon Credo.
Filipinos should unite in prayers as Bro. Eddie emphasizes the need to call upon the Lord so as to give hope to the Overseas Filipino Workers who will soon be facing death through lethal injection this week.
Villanueva campaigns saying, “Following the example of the Lord Jesus Christ’s comp(–foul word(s) removed–)ion, I admonish all our Christian churches to pray for clemency or sentence commutation for the three Filipinos scheduled for execution in China on March 30. Let us hold on to Proverbs 21: 1 that our God may move the hearts of Chinese authorities to grant clemency to our three compatriots.”
As Christians, Filipinos believe in the power of prayers hoping that a miracle will happen as death comes nearer to the Pinoys who left the country whose only intention is to provide a brighter future for their loved ones.
Behind the sudden decision of the Chinese officials came Villanueva’s belief that the three OFWs were left having no choice but to follow the directions handed to them when they have been commanded by their employers to smuggle illegal drugs.
The Philippine government has been concerned about the close execution of Villanueva, Batain and Credo.
Even Bro. Eddie calls for everyone’s unity by extending their help in a spiritual way to soften the hearts of the Chinese authorities that they may be able to express comp(–foul word(s) removed–)ion to the three Filipinos.
