Japan nuclear power plants was shut down after the massive earthquake and tsunami that have hit recently in Japan. Nuclear power plants were the primary sources of energy in the tsunami hit region.

Japanese people were worried about the aftermaths of the earthquake and tsunami for it will affect their sources of energy.  After the transport system was put on hold, the Japanese were worried about their nuclear power plants that could produce radiation if one of its plants will be washed out by tsunami.

The Japanese government have confirmed that there is nothing to worry about the nuclear power plants for it have secured earlier before the tsunami hit.

Japan have a total of 53 nuclear power plants producing a massive power of 42,369 MW.
