Kapamilya actress Dimples Romana said that she is embracing challenges in her life because she knows through these, she will be a better person.

Challenges, obstacles, and inconveniences are part of the lives of many people. While some may think these are not welcome in their lives, for Dimples, these are the things that would help her grow.

“I like being challenged. I like the idea that I’m feeling emotions. I’m uncomfortable with the idea that I’ve plateaued,” the actress shared during a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer.

However, she stressed that accepting challenges does not mean that she does not enjoy “plain and simple” things in life. “I just like feeling nervous because I feel that I grow better when I’m challenged,” Dimples Romana explained.

As an actress, she stressed the importance of reinventing one’s self. This can be a tool to adapt to the changes as time goes by. “This is because, you’ll never know, tomorrow there will be someone who is more beautiful and more talented than you. We’re always challenged to keep looking good,” she shared.

Dimples admitted that it is not an easy thing to do, especially since people have different sets of standards. She said that she is not ashamed to blurt out her real age, 37 years old, because she knows she does not look like one. It is because she is making sure that her body is healthy and this begins with having a healthy mind.

“You nurture your mind with good thoughts. I’m not saying that I’ve never had negative thoughts, but I’ve learned to manage them. I admit that I overthink. I’m a worrier. I’m a Scorpio,” Dimples Romana shared.

Meanwhile, the actress said that her character in Viral Scandal is a tribute to the overseas Filipino workers around the world. She plays Kakai, an OFW and the mom of Charlie Dizon’s character Rica.
