Manila Mayor Isko Moreno encouraged the people to visit the “Instagrammable” spots in the capital city of the Philippines.

In 2019, the actor-turned-politician became the father of Manila as he was elected as Mayor. After three years, he aspired to be elected as president but unfortunately, he did not succeed in this.

Now that he is set to be “Citizen Isko,” he is planning to have a vacation after his term as Manila Mayor ends next month. Before becoming a private citizen, Mayor Isko Moreno attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marker unveiling, and turnover ceremony of Binondo-Intramuros Bridge on May 18, based on the article in PEP.

The said bridge that connects Binondo and Intramuros is worth PHP3.39 billion. This project was made possible through the effort of the Chinese government, the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc., and the City of Manila.

Despite that it was raining during the ceremony, the event was still a success. China Ambassador Huang Xilian was one of the special guests during the event.

Mayor Isko was proud to share that he was the one who suggested the viewing deck at Binondo-Intramuros Bridge. “Pinalagyan ko ng viewing deck so the passersby will continue to appreciate the beauty of the bridge. Dahil napakaganda ng bridge, lagyan natin ng picture area. May bago na naman kayong spot,” he said.

He also highlighted the Arroceros Park, the project DPWH in Esplanade, the Jones Bridge, and the Philippine Chinese Friendship Bridge.

“Sa Chinese culture, may maganda raw na dulot ang tag-ulan sa isang seremonya. Kami naman mga Pilipino, ang paningin namin ang ulan ay blessing [sa] another tourist spot sa Maynila,” he said.
