
Google Notebook computers will be launched in the market this June in a direct assault on the Windows operating system at the heart of Microsoft’s technology empire.
The new Notebook computer was a result of collaboration of Google with electronics makers Samsung and Acer. The new gadget is said to be crafted as portals to online application or services through Google’s Chrome Web Browser.
In a statement released by Sergey Brin, co founder of Google during the press briefing, he said that whether it will be Microsoft or other operating system vendors, the difficulty in managing a computer is really a burden to many computer users out there. He also said “That is a flawed model,” . According to him the Chrome notebooks are new model that lessen the burden of user in managing computers.
Before the Google notebook will be launched, a prototype of it was already released last year wherein many people tried to live test the product.
June 15, 2011 is the exact date given by Google to release the new Notebook and it is expected to be available in Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands and the United States.
In the latest update given by Sundar Pichai, Senior Vice President of Chrome in a conference in San Franciso, he said that Acer notebooks announced that they will have a starting price of $349 while Samsung models will offer it to the market for $429.
He also added that one customer can only indentify the difference of Chrome notebook to others, once they have already used it. Google’s Notebook computer is designed to be user friendly.
