RN Heals Nurses Salaries Could Reach to P16,000/Month

The Department of Health was the agency behind the successful RN Heals Program that started in 2010 as an “emergency measures” to address the shortage of nurses in far-flung and depressed areas and at the same time give training to unemployed nurses. According to DOH, there are almost 20,000 nurses deployed to government hospitals, rural health units and barangay health stations.

According to DOH Secretary Enrique Ona, the program may last for only two more years as local governments and district hospitals would be able to absorb the nurses by that time becuase of the expected improvement in the hospitals’ finances.

The Department of Health is planning to absorb half of the nurses serving in its RN Heals Program (Registered Nurses for Health Enhancement and Local Services) by January 2014 and give those who are qualified a higher compensation.

Currently the RN Heals nurses received a monthly allowance of P8,000 from the DOH, the agency according to Sec. Ona could receive a monthly compensation of P16,000, if they will be hired or regularized.

The P16,000 planned salary for RN Heals Nurses is currently awaiting the approval of President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino.

    • yes, yan rin ang tanong ko.

are those CURRENTLY under RNHEALS-4 the ONLY qualified applicants?

if so, this unfair for other nurses who have never experienced this project.

      hope someone will clarify this.

  2. Regularized all RN Heals?! Ooooohhhhh!!!!!
