Tricycle Driver in El Nido Stars in Vlog of PBA Legend Paul Artadi
A tricycle driver in El Nido, Palawan goes viral for failing to recognize PBA legend Paul Artadi and James Yap.
Unbeknownst to a tricycle driver in the town of El Nido, he had two PBA legends, Paul Artadi and James Yap, as passengers. Artadi’s video went viral due to the innocent yet amusing exchange of questions and answers between him and the driver, such as whether or not he knew some PBA players.
According to the driver, he had been living in El Nido for eight years and working as a driver but had not seen any PBA players visiting their town. The driver is still unaware that his passengers were famous PBA players.
“Si James Yap hindi mo idol?” Artadi asked. “Dati ho, Ginebra yata,” the driver replied. However, Yap last played for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
The conversation then turned to Yap’s wife, which the driver answered as Kris Aquino. In Artadi’s story, the tricycle driver did not know that he had “King James” as his passenger. After dropping them off at their hotel, Artadi gave a hint that the driver eventually found out and was surprised.
“Yong driver di niya alam sakay na niya si King James. Nagulat siya, di ba?” Artadi said.
The vlog also showed the two touring around the town of El Nido, comparing its beauty to that of Phuket in Thailand. Aside from being former PBA players, Artadi and Yap are also councilors in the town of San Juan.
Artadi posted the vlog on March 29 but he did not specify when they visited El Nido.
