Pacquiao Says He Loves LGBTQ After Chastised Online Over Insulting Remarks
Presidential candidate Senator Manny Pacquiao said he loves the LGBTQ community after previously chastised online over insulting remarks against them.
Pacquiao stated in an interview with One News that he ‘loves’ members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The presidential candidate also stated that he had no animosity toward LGBTQ people.

He wants to be among LGBT people because of their hard work and talent, according to the boxer-turned-politician. He went on to say that he would not judge them.
“Love ko po silang (LGBT) lahat. Hindi ko po sila kinokondena. “‘Yung faith ko sa Panginoon ay nandiyan at kung anuman ‘yung paniniwala ko, ‘yun po ang paniniwala ko,” said Pacquiao.
“Pero hindi ibig sabihin ayaw ko ng mga LGBT. In fact, gusto ko silang kasama dahil masisipag ‘yang mga yan at karamihan ay matatalino,” he added.
However, he stated that his point of view will not change and that he will not allow LGBTQIA+ people to marry. It will be remembered that Pacquiao caused a stir in 2016 when he made a sexist remark about the LGBTQIA+ community.
“Common sense lang. Makakakita ka ba ng any animals na lalaki sa lalakI, babae sa babae? Mas mabuti pa yung hayop. Marunong kumilala kung lalaki, lalaki, o babae, babae,” said Pacquiao.
“Kung lalaki sa lalaki, babae sa babae, eh mas masahol pa sa hayop ang tao,” he added.
The LGBTQ community has condemned Pacquiao and expressed their displeasure with his derogatory remarks. Several well-known members and supporters of the community have launched a diatribe against the warring senator.
