Sharon Cuneta appeared in the first episode of E-A-T
Megastar Sharon Cuneta expressed her “sama ng loob” due to what happened between TVJ and GMA noontime show’s producer TAPE Inc.
For many years, former TAPE CEO and President Tony Tuviera has been working closely with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, along with the production staff and other hosts of the longest-running noontime show.
However, due to the changes that the new management of TAPE wants to impose on the show and the host, TVJ decided to just leave the production company that is now being managed by the children of former Congressman Romy Jalosjos.
On July 1, TVJ launched their new noontime show on TV5 titled E.A.T (Eto Ang Totoo). They have been aiming to bring the Eat Bulaga title with them that was created by the Henyo Master but unfortunately, the legal issue is not yet over.
During the first episode, Sharon Cuneta was one of the guests who graced the newly-launched show. Prior to this, the Megastar announced on Instagram that she will appear in the pilot episode of the show.
She said that Eat Bulaga and TVJ have always been close to her heart and for her, this is the time to pay the show and the trio the recognition they deserve.
In the pilot episode, based on the article in PEP, Sharon expressed that she can’t believe that the TVJ will be treated like this. “Karangalan ko pong narito ako dahil bumalik sa ere ang ating show ng TVJ. Pero talagang sumama ang loob ko dahil dapat inalagaan kayo. Ayoko yung pinagdaanan niyo, you didn’t deserve that,” the singer-actress said.
Joey said that what Sharon said might be a cause of another issue. The Megastar answered, “Hindi naman, kalmang-kalma nga ako.”
She also said that despite the fact that there are other noontime shows in the Philippines, the love and happiness that the legit Dabarkads to the people are incomparable. With this, she said, “So, huwag nating pababayaan na mawala ang kaligayahan ng taumbayan.”
