Delivery Rider Patiently Waits at Customer’s Gate Late at Night for Payment of COD Parcel
A delivery rider has gone viral online after he was seen knocking on a customer’s gate at around 9:40 p.m. to collect payment for a cash-on-delivery (COD) parcel.
Recently, Jhersey, a TikTok user, shared a video of her partner, a delivery rider, patiently waiting for the customer’s payment despite it already being late at night. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from netizens online.
According to the post, the customer requested to send the payment through GCash instead of paying immediately upon delivery.
The rider agreed to wait, hoping that the payment would be sent shortly. However, as the minutes passed, the payment still had not arrived. Despite the delay, the rider remained patient and stayed outside the customer’s house while waiting for the transaction to be completed.
Many expressed concern for the rider, pointing out that delivery workers often spend long hours on the road and still have families waiting for them at home after work. Several online users praised the rider for his patience and professionalism.
The uploader explained that it was frustrating to see the rider spend valuable time waiting for a payment that should have been settled right away. Instead of resting after a long day of work, he was forced to remain on duty much later than expected.

Fortunately, the issue was eventually resolved. The parcel was finally paid for after the rider contacted the customer’s child, who then completed the payment.
