Teacher Dies After Allegedly Being Beaten and Forced to Drink Muriatic Acid by Student He Refused to Lend Money ToĀ

A 38-year-old high school teacher died after he was allegedly beaten and forced to drink muriatic acid by a 24-year-old student in Bacolod City after refusing to lend him money.

According to authorities, the victim was found inside his home together with the suspect. Investigators said the incident happened after the student visited the teacher’s house, where the two reportedly spent time drinking before the situation turned violent.

Initial findings revealed that the suspect had allegedly asked the teacher for financial assistance. Police said the request was denied, which may have led to the confrontation. During the investigation, authorities learned that the student and teacher had known each other for a long time.

The suspect had reportedly visited the victim’s home several times in the past. The incident was discovered when a barangay watchman noticed suspicious activity at the residence. Upon checking the area, he allegedly saw the suspect dragging the victim’s body.

It prompted authorities to respond immediately. When officers arrived, they found the suspect still inside the house. Attempts to escape were unsuccessful after he reportedly hid in different parts of the residence, including the bathroom and the ceiling. He was eventually taken into custody.

Police investigators said the victim suffered severe injuries. Reports also indicated that the suspect allegedly forced the teacher to ingest muriatic acid after physically attacking him. The exact cause of death is expected to be confirmed through the results of the autopsy examination.

The suspect refused to give a statement regarding the allegations. Authorities have already filed a murder case against him as the investigation continues.

Police continue to gather additional evidence as they work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crime.
