Sen. Imee Marcos said that the administration is pressuring those who are seeking the truth

Senator Imee Marcos urged Filipinos to be more vigilant amid the rising tension in the Senate over the flood control scandal and the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.

Sen. Imee is known as the older sister of President Bongbong Marcos, but she is also known as one of the allies of VP Sara.

In a statement on Tuesday, Sen. Imee said that the administration is openly pressuring those who he said are standing up for the truth.

She said that several senators who initially tried to lay out the “full truth” met and agreed to make decisions considering the safety of their families and offices without abdicating their responsibility to the people, based on the report from Abante.

Imee Marcos said.

The female senator also encouraged the public to resist the suppression of rights and freedoms and join in peaceful action against what she said is the constant harassment, intimidation, and threats against those who want nothing more than to reveal the truth.

The senator made the statement after it was reported that the meeting of the Cayetano bloc regarding the flood control scandal would not proceed. However, Atty. Ferdi Topacio clarified that it will push through.

Previously, Sen. Imee Marcos said that the Cayetano bloc was targeted with legal cases. Sen. Jinggoy Estrada is currently detained, and Sen. Bato dela Rosa went into hiding again because of the ICC warrant of arrest against him.
