Pulse Asia Releases Result of Survey Involving Naga Mayor Leni Robredo, VP Sara Duterte
LENI ROBREDO – The gap between the Naga City Mayor and Vice President Sara Duterte in the recent survey of Pulse Asia over the 2028 presidential Election narrowed.
The next national election is almost two years away from now but there are already loud talks on who may be the strongest contenders for the presidency. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is the first to announced that she will run for president in 2028. Her announcement came amid several issues of alleged corruption surrounding her.

According to Vice Pres. Duterte, she has recruited someone to be her running mate in the 2028 Elections. She refused to drop a name saying that the person has yet to decide over the matter and she wants to protect his/her privacy.
Following the announcement of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte that she will run for the presidency in 2028, many Filipinos undeniably called on former Vice President and now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo to take the presidential race.

Even some members of the opposition believe that Robredo is their strongest bet for president in 2028. Former senator and now Mamamayang Liberal Party-list Representative Leila de Lima even expressed her hope that the Naga Mayor will change her mind and run for president again.

Although their tandem lost in terms of the votes in the 2022 Elections, Naga Mayor Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan were able to build a strong support from the so-called Kakampinks. Many of these people call on Robredo to run for president again.
Recently, Pulse Asia conducted a survey that asked the respondents who they will vote from the list of potential presidential bets stated in the 2028 Elections. Based on a report on News5, the results of the survey showed a narrowed gap between Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and former Vice President and now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo

Based on the report, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte leads the result of the Pulse Asia survey with 51% of the respondents saying they will vote for her. For Naga Mayor Leni Robredo, 43% of the respondents are determined to vote for her should the 2028 Elections be held now.
The survey was commissioned by Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri. However, amid the tightening gap between the Naga City Mayor and the Vice President over the 2028 Elections, Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo has announced that she will not run for president in 2028.
