Pres. Bongbong Marcos, DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla Jokes on Each Other at Cavite Event
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President and DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla joked on each other at an event in the latter’s bailiwick, Cavite.
Under the presidential term of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr., two (2) Remullas have become part of the administration — former Department of Justice (DOJ) and now Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla.
Interior Sec. Jonvic Remulla was a former governor of Cavite. He has served the province for at least four (4) consecutive terms.
As the Interior Secretary, DILG chief Jonvic Remulla is one of the government officials who expressed confidence in the commitment of the administration of Pres. Bongbong Marcos to bring accountability over the flood control mess. He stressed that the President remains committed towards holding the culprits in the supposed multi-billion flood control scam accountable.
The Remulla brothers previously claimed that they were allegedly offered P1 billion to silence the flood control investigation but they refused. Both of them challenged former House of Representatives member Zaldy Co to return money first if he wants a dialogue with the government.
Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos and DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla were together in an event in General Trias City in Cavite. The two (2) government officials exchanged jokes on each other.
Based on a report on News, Pres. Bongbong Marcos and DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla recently attended an assistance distribution event in General Trias City, Cavite. It is the bailiwick of the Interior Secretary who was a former governor of the province.
“Ba’t ang hina ng palakpak niyo? Nakakita lang kayo ng Pangulo mahina na palakpak niyo?” Remulla told the crowd.
Based on the post, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also joked on DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla. He asked if he is now known as “Secretary Pogi”.
“‘Yung bang pagkakilala sa’yo dito Governor Pogi napunta din sa secretary? So si Secretary Pogi?” Marcos Jr. said.
The President and the Interior Secretary led the distribution of rice in General Trias City. Marcos Jr. also announced the construction of a new Philippine General Hospital in Carmona and the project will be led by the DILG.
A few weeks ago, Pres. Bongbong Marcos announced the detention of Zaldy Co in Czech Republic. Following the announcement, the DILG Chief claimed that it might take three (3) weeks to bring the former House member home. However, shortly after, DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla admitted his “mistake” on his assessment about bringing Zaldy Co home to the Philippines.
