Seasoned actress Janice de Belen had this answer when asked if she’s in favor of her daughter, actress Kaila Estrada’s relationship with Supreme Idol Daniel Padilla.
Even though Kaila and Daniel haven’t formally talked about their relationship and the details of their love story, they have become more visible together. Some of their family members have also shown support for them, as well as their fans.
Just recently, a rumor surfaced that Kaila and Daniel are getting married next year. This came from a blind item saying that a couple who have not confirmed their relationship publicly will tie the knot in 2026.
Then, netizens’ attention was caught by the reply that Kaila’s brother Luigi Muhlach had to Daniel’s comment. The Supreme Idol greeted Luigi for his birthday, and the latter thanked the actor, calling him “bayaw.”
With this, some netizens connected this to the wedding rumors involving Daniel Padilla and Kaila Estrada.
In a recent interview on the YouTube channel of veteran journalist Julius Babao, he asked Janice de Belen if she’s in favor of Kaila’s relationship with Daniel. She stressed that this aspect of her children’s lives is not under her control.
“Wala naman akong magagawa sa relationship ng kahit na sino sa mga anak ko,” Janice said. Laughingly, the seasoned actress said that her daughter would kill her because she’s so talkative.
To answer the question if Kaila had already introduced Daniel to her, Janice said that she already knew the current partners of her children. Then, the seasoned actress had this meaningful statement when it comes to the partners of her children.
“I will have to trust them, love them, get along with them. Kasi malay ko ba sila na nga talaga ang mag-aalaga sa anak ko,” Janice de Belen said.
When it comes to her reminder for Kaila, the seasoned actress said, “Basta, guard your heart.”
