Bela Padilla was asked about her birthday wish
Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla jokingly said that her birthday wish is for Kapuso journalist Kara David’s wish to come true.
To recall, last September 2025, Kara became a trending topic on social media because of her birthday wish. Her video, in which she said, “Sana mamatay lahat ng kurakot,” went viral. This was during the period when the issue of anomalous flood-control projects exploded into the public eye.
Several netizens, and even celebrities, supported and echoed her wish. Some even said that they will sacrifice their birthday wishes for Kara’s wish to come true. The Kapuso journalist even received a “Death Note” gift from a fan, who wanted her wish to happen as well.
In a recent interview, Bela Padilla was asked about her wish, based on a video shared by Mega Kapamilya on X, formerly Twitter. She will turn 35 this coming May 3.
With a laugh, the actress said that she wishes for “world peace.” Then, she said, “Ang wish ko ay matupad and wish ni Ms. Kara David,” and she laughed, which made reporters laugh as well.
After that, Bela shared that she met Kara about two weeks ago at an event, and she really had her fangirling moment. The actress shared that she was nervous meeting the award-winning documentarist, whom she regarded as an intelligent woman.
In a more serious tone, Bela said that she does not celebrate her birthday, and she just wanted to be happy on that day.
Meanwhile, Bela Padilla is one of the main cast members of the new Kapamilya series Blood vs Duty with Richard Gutierrez, Barbie Imperial, and Gerald Anderson. This series is Bela’s first action genre. Bela shared that she was excited to be working with Gerald because this was their first project together.
