Carmina Villaroel & Zoren Legaspi Openly Adore Ashley Ortega for Mavy
CARMINA VILLAROEL – It looks like Ashley Ortega has already captured not just Mavy’s heart but also the approval of his parents.
Veteran showbiz couple Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi have openly expressed their fondness for Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega, who is currently linked to their son Mavy Legaspi.
During the March 19 episode of the talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, host Boy Abunda asked the couple about their relationship with Ashley. Without hesitation, Carmina shared their admiration for the young actress.
“We love her,” said Carmina. “Mahal namin siya kasi ang bait.”
Zoren echoed the same sentiment, explaining their perspective as parents when it comes to their children’s relationships. “Ang unang basehan naman kasi d’yan is, as a parent, syempre kung sino ‘yong mahal ng anak mo dapat mahalin mo rin. Kung hindi mo mahal dapat matutunan mong mahalin kung sinoman ang mahal ng anak mo.”
He further emphasized their openness and support, saying, “So whether si Ashley ‘yan, whether si ganito ‘yan, si ganyan, kung ‘yon ang nagpapaligaya sa anak namin, then so be it. Wala kaming problema doon.”
Carmina also elaborated on how their love and trust for their son play a big role in how they approach his personal life. “Dahil sa pagmamahal mo sa anak mo, dahil nagtitiwala ka sa anak mo, gusto mong ibigay ‘yong freedom na ‘yon e. ‘Okay that’s your decision. Nandito kami para suportahan ka.’ And we’re just very happy na okay silang dalawa ni Ash. Si Ash malapit sa [amin], pati kay Cassy. So magaan lang,” she added, referring as well to their daughter Cassy.
The couple’s statements reflect a supportive and understanding approach to parenting, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. Their acceptance of Ashley appears to have strengthened the bond not only with Mavy but also within the family.
It can be recalled that Ashley previously spoke about Mavy in the same program, admitting she initially had doubts about their compatibility due to their age difference. “I thought before hindi niya ma-match ‘yong maturity ko. Kasi he’s younger than me, e. He’s three years younger than me. Parang two na lang din because my birthday is December 26, siya January,” said Ashley. “But he’s actually mature.”
Despite her earlier concerns, Ashley’s statement suggests that Mavy has proven himself to be more mature than she initially expected, further affirming the positive relationship they share today.
