Controversial Vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy Details “Nightmare” in Philippine Jail
VITALY ZDOROVETSKIY – Russian YouTuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy has returned home after nearly ten months in a Philippine jail, and his story is nothing short of shocking.
Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy has returned to Russia following his deportation from the Philippines earlier this month, after spending nearly ten months behind bars. The controversial YouTuber, known for his high-stakes pranks and a massive following of over 10 million subscribers, described his detention as a grueling experience that tested his endurance.
Vitaly spent a total of 290 days in a Philippine detention facility, including 91 days in complete isolation. Taking to Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), he shared photos of himself upon arrival in Russia alongside images from inside the jail. “After 290 days in the Philippines jail with rats, cockroaches, and +35 Celsius weather, I am finally free,” he wrote. The vlogger highlighted the harsh conditions, citing sweltering heat, pests, and emotional struggles that made his stay particularly challenging.
Despite the difficult circumstances, Vitaly conveyed a resilient attitude. “They really tried to break me, but it built me. They wanted me gone but I’m here, all glory to GOD!” he said, emphasizing that the ordeal strengthened rather than defeated him. He also revealed plans to release a full documentary detailing his time in the Philippines, giving his followers a deeper look at his experience behind bars.
Vitaly’s legal troubles began in April 2025 when he traveled to the Philippines and filmed prank content that quickly drew criticism. His stunts in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig, were deemed law-breaking and harassing by local authorities, leading to his arrest. While in detention, he even reached out to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) officials to request the dropping of charges, but the government upheld the enforcement of local regulations.
The vlogger’s return to Russia marks the end of a difficult chapter in his career, but he remains outspoken about the challenges he faced. His recounting of jail life offers an unfiltered look at the realities of detention, capturing both the physical discomfort and psychological toll of his nearly ten-month ordeal.
