Aira Lopez Responds Calmly as Boyfriend Gifts Kris Aquino While Recovering
AIRA LOPEZ – TV host Aira Lopez made it clear that she is not fazed by her boyfriend’s thoughtful gesture toward his ex, Kris Aquino.
TV host and athlete Aira Lopez expressed that she is completely unbothered by her boyfriend, Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste, gifting his ex-girlfriend Kris Aquino with chocolates and flowers earlier this month. The gifts were sent before Aquino was scheduled to undergo a minor surgery.
Addressing a social media post that discussed the matter, Lopez clarified that she saw no reason for concern regarding Leviste’s affectionate gesture. The post implied that the public might be worried about Lopez, suggesting that Leviste’s actions could indicate a possibility of rekindling his relationship with Aquino, who continues to battle 11 autoimmune diseases.
“Wag na po nating gawing issue ang lahat (Please don’t make an issue out of it). Whether he gave the chocolates or not, wala pong problema sa akin (I have no problem with it). I even encourage Mark to visit Ms. Kris in the hospital,” Lopez stated.
Lopez also shared her well wishes for Aquino’s health, saying, “I sincerely wish her well and pray for her recovery.”
It was later clarified that the chocolates and flowers were actually from Leviste’s son, Ronin, who is close to Aquino and had once affectionately called her “Mama.”
Aquino and Leviste had an on-and-off relationship throughout 2023, eventually ending things for good in November of the same year. Aquino explained that long-distance challenges and her health struggles contributed to the decision to part ways. “The truth is that I chose to lessen the stressors in my life and put my well-being first… [On] November 3, 2023, I initiated our breakup. It was a well thought out decision based on choosing to do what’s best for me now. I’m dealing with so much and my love life isn’t a priority,” she said.
Leviste and Lopez went public with their relationship in January 2025. Despite a 28-year age difference, Lopez noted that they have been able to maintain a healthy and fulfilling relationship. She emphasized that she values a “mature, smart, hardworking, and respectful partner” over someone of the same age who may not treat her well.
Lopez’s reaction highlights her confidence and trust in her relationship, showing that she places understanding and maturity above jealousy or insecurity.
