Why Nadine Lustre Is Choosing Herself Over Motherhood for Now
NADINE LUSTRE – Award-winning actress Nadine Lustre once again sparked conversation online after making a brutally honest confession about motherhood and personal responsibility.
Nadine Lustre recently opened up about her views on love, marriage, and motherhood, giving fans a rare and honest glimpse into where she currently stands in life. In a candid conversation on the YouTube vlog of the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda, Nadine spoke openly about her relationship with French partner Christophe Bariou and her personal priorities.
Nadine shared that she feels deeply fulfilled and happy in her relationship, expressing her belief that Christophe is her “the one” and “forever.” According to the actress, she feels that she has already found the man she wants to spend her life with, noting that their bond continues to grow stronger as the years go by. With their relationship having lasted several years, many fans have begun wondering whether she is ready to take the next step and settle down.
When Vice Ganda directly asked her, “So ready ka na maging wife?” Nadine responded thoughtfully, “Parang ibang responsibility ‘yan. Siguro, I mean kung mangyayari, e, ‘di go.” She explained that while marriage is a serious responsibility, she feels that what she and Christophe share now already resembles a committed partnership.
“Feeling ko naman kasi ‘yung kung ano ang nangyayari and ginagawa namin ngayon, parang ganu’n na siya. I think kasi we’re both focused on working on ourselves din,” she said. Nadine emphasized that they are continuously growing, both individually and as a couple. “Meaning like naggo-grow pa kami separately and we’re growing together kasi may businesses kami together. Ang dami pa naming gustong marating,” she added.
However, it was Nadine’s honest take on motherhood that truly caught attention. When asked if she was ready to become a mother, she did not hold back. “Actually ayoko talaga mag-anak. Pero kung mangyayari, kung ibibigay sa ‘kin, tatanggapin ko naman,” she admitted.
Nadine Lustre explained that her hesitation comes from the immense responsibility of raising a child. “Parang ‘di ko lang kaya, kasi takot ‘din ako na magre-raise ka ng tao,” she said. “Siyempre responsible ka d’yan. Hindi lang siya laruan, hindi lang siya cute.”
Nadine further shared her fear of making mistakes and her desire to fully understand herself first. “It’s such a huge responsibility na takot ako ‘pag nagkamali ako. I think for me din kasi, hindi pa ko tapos i-discover ‘yung sarili ko,” she explained. She also acknowledged how motherhood could significantly affect her life and career, noting that all her time and attention would naturally shift to the child.
Through her candid revelations, Nadine Lustre once again showed her authenticity, choosing honesty over societal expectations while staying true to her personal journey.
