KOBE – The viral aspin dog named Kobe reportedly loses a part of his tongue in a dog fight in Valenzuela City.
Kobe, an aspin, was found with part of his tongue missing, leading many people online to believe that a person was responsible for the injury. The incident caused anger and sadness among animal lovers, prompting authorities to conduct a full investigation.
The Valenzuela City Police carefully reviewed CCTV footage from the area where the incident happened. By checking videos before and after the event, they were able to clearly see what took place.
Police confirmed that Kobe’s injury was caused by another dog during a brief dog fight and not by any human action. A man seen riding a motorcycle in the footage also shared what he witnessed, which matched the findings of the police.
City officials explained that the dog fight lasted only about 19 seconds. Around five to six dogs were involved, and during the commotion, one dog bit Kobe directly on the tongue. Because everything happened so fast, people nearby were afraid to step in, worried they might get bitten as well.
Kobe’s owner, Rodlee Zulueta, shared his relief after learning the truth. While the incident was painful for their family, they were thankful that the real cause was clarified and that the authorities took the issue seriously.
It helped calm the emotions of many people who initially reacted based on incomplete information.
Kobe is now in stable condition and continues to recover. The local government has taken care of his medical expenses, and the city veterinarian is monitoring both Kobe and the other dog involved.
City officials also reminded pet owners to follow the Responsible Pet Ownership Ordinance. This rule requires owners to properly watch their pets and keep them from roaming freely to prevent dog fights and similar incidents in the future.
