Amid the Issues in PH Gov’t, Marcos Jr. Reveals Christmas Wish
MARCOS JR. – The President revealed that his wish for the Christmas season is a “good budget” from the legislative branch.
The Philippine government is currently faced with several issues — including the budget insertion mess and the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption. Even Pres. Bongbong Marcos himself was tagged in the budget insertion mess and the alleged kickback system.

Former House Appropriations Budget Committee chairman Zaldy Co accused Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez of allegedly masterminding the insertion of P100 billion in the 2025 national fund.
Zaldy Co also claimed that Marcos Jr. and Romualdez allegedly got a P56 billion kickback all for themselves. According to the resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative, he was allegedly told by the former House Speaker to stay out of the country as instructed by the President.

The Palace slammed the claims of Zaldy Co saying that he allegedly wants the investigation to stop so he tagged the President. Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro also challenged Co to return to the Philippines and testify under oath.

Marcos Jr. also dared Zaldy Co to return to the country and face the allegations against him. He stressed that he must be fare as he remains in the country despite his accusations against him.
Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos had an interview with some students amid the supposed massive corruption issues in the Philippines. He was asked about a lot of things including what he is hoping to receive this yuletide season.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Marcos Jr. revealed that a “good budget” from the legislative branch will make for a very nice Christmas. The bicameral conference committee is set to convene soon for the budget process.

“I don’t know how specific you want to get, but that for Christmas that the legislature will provide us a good budget. That will make for a very nice Christmas,” he said.
Based on the report, Pres. Bongbong Marcos did not specifically cited which items or provisions he wants to see in the final version of the proposed national budget for 2026. After the bicam, the committee will submit the budget to the Office of the President for the signature of Marcos Jr.
Ahead of the bicameral conference committee, Minority Senator Jinggoy Estrada withdrew from being a member of the bicam for the 2026 budget process.
