Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban has this to say when asked about her ex-boyfriends, John Lloyd Cruz and Derek Ramsay.
Before the settled and peaceful situation that actress Angelica Panganiban has now with her husband, Gregg Homan, and daughter, Amila, she went through a lot of storms in her life. As a public figure, her life is also an open book to the public, and it is not a secret that she had a relationship with actors John Lloyd Cruz and Derek Ramsay.
Angelica and John Lloyd had been together for over three years before they called it quits in March 2016. At that time, she revealed that their relationship had been so toxic that it eventually led to a breakup.
As for Derek, they were together longer. They dated for over six years, and there was even a point when they lived together. They started dating in 2006 and shared a home for most of their time as a couple, until they broke up in 2012.
In a recent interview with Karen Davila, she spoke about her past relationships, and she shared why they all did not end up in marriage, aside from the fact that she was destined to be with her husband now.
According to her, she never felt that feeling of desire to marry in those relationships. She was quick to answer “no” when asked, as that was how certain she was.
“With Derek, kahit matagal kami, I didn’t see him na pupunta talaga dun na parang may planong mag-settle? Wala. Kasi every now and then may problema eh. May issue na naman, may away na naman,” she shared based on the interview.
As for John Lloyd, it was already clear from the start of their relationship that marriage was not part of the plan. He doesn’t want to get married, and it struck her that there’s no point in staying in that relationship because she personally wanted to get married and have her own family.
