Fuel Firms to Impose Mixed Price Adjustments on Tuesday (December 9, 2025)

Several fuel firms in the country are set to implement mixed price adjustments starting Tuesday (December 9, 2025).

Drivers across the country are set to spend more on fuel as gasoline prices rise again. The increase comes at a time when many motorists are already feeling the strain of daily expenses, making each trip to the gas station a bit heavier on the pocket.

Major oil companies announced that gasoline prices will go up by P1.20 per liter. This adjustment will take effect early in the morning for most fuel stations, while one company will apply the change later in the afternoon.

Despite the gasoline hike, there is some relief for motorists who use diesel or kerosene, as prices for these products will remain the same.

ThE latest adjustment marks the second straight week that gasoline prices have gone up. It is also the 34th increase recorded this year, reflecting the continued pressure on fuel prices over the past months.

For many drivers, this pattern has become all too familiar, especially those who rely on their vehicles daily for work, business, or family needs

Gasoline prices in Metro Manila are expected to fall within a higher range than before. Pump prices that once started in the low P50 range are now moving closer to the mid and upper P70 levels, depending on the station and location.

The timing of the increase also matters. With traffic already heavy and the holiday season adding more vehicles on the road, fuel costs have become an even bigger concern. Some drivers may choose to adjust their travel plans, combine errands, or look for ways to save fuel.
