Taguig PNP Attempted to Serve Arrest Warrant vs. Zaldy Co amid Flood Control Mess

PNP – The Philippine National Police failed to serve the arrest warrant against Zaldy Co at his residence in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Recently, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. issued a “report” on the flood control investigation in the Philippines amid the public call for accountability. According to him, the patience of the people has allegedly bore fruit as charges have been filed against 18 individuals including Zaldy Co.

According to the President, the Office of the Ombudsman has filed charges against Zaldy Co and 17 other individuals based on the evidence submitted by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). He stressed that the charges are allegedly not based on hearsays but evidence.

Marcos Jr. assured the Filipino people that the arrest warrants will be served immediately as the next step in the process. According to him, he will finish the flood control investigation which he initiated. The PNP recently attempted to serve the arrest warrant against Zaldy Co.

Zaldy Co is supposedly a lead player in the alleged multi-billion flood control corruption in the country. However, he was out of the Philippines when the accusations of corruption against him broke out.

Based on a post of News5 on social media, the PNP members under the Southern Police District in Taguig City went to the residence of Zaldy Co at Horizon Homes, Shangri-La in Bonifacio Global City this morning.

It was at 11:00 a.m. today when the PNP members, the operatives of the Taguig CPS Warrant and Subpoena Section and Sub-Station 1, went to the registered residence of Zaldy Co in Taguig City. Based on the post, the duty manager and security manager of the property claimed that Co was not there and the property is allegedly closed for over a month now.

Ombudsman Boying Remulla recently claimed that Zaldy Co was allegedly last seen in Japan. He claimed that the resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative will allegedly not be able to escape them as they will extradite him as long as they have the legal authority to do so.

Previously, amid the massive flood control corruption accusations against him, Zaldy Co claimed that Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. allegedly ordered a P100-billion budget insertion in the 2025 national fund.
